Reminiscences of the Future: a Stone-throw.
I'm an expression of this world,
I'm its highest apex,
But not unlike the mere reeds
Or cobwebs in the attics.
I'm the servant of the kids
Who are yet to manifest their presence.
I'm the master of the deeds
That which define the human essence.
I'm the verse that never falls
Neath rubbled seven-gated Thebes.
I'm the tearing down of walls
Fulfilling Tigris and Euphrates.
I'm that stream not entered twice,
The thought Obscure from Ephesus.
I'm the throwing of the dice
God never played in recrudescence.
I'm the Omphalos of Delphi,
Being one in all and you ain't different.
Thus see me through, I cannot lie,
I'm a stone-throw like an infant.
Is there a thing that I am not?
Was there a time when I was never?
This makes no sense, you idiot!
I've been around, I'm here forever!
